LIFE Index-Air @ IAEA course about PM source apportionment
From 13 to 17 November 2017, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) held at Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear (Loures, Portugal) an international course from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) entitled “Regional Training Course on Advanced Methods in Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) and Potential Source Contribution Functions (PSCF)”.
This course focused on source apportionment techniques to identify pollution sources of particulate matter (PM). Participants from 19 European/Central Asian countries and from different backgrounds (governmental environment agencies and research institutions) attended the course.
LIFE Index-Air coordinator, Marta Almeida, participated in the course and presented LIFE Index-Air project, its goals and methodologies, to all participants and a short discussion session was promoted to clarify doubts and how to maximise the project’s results.
