The Pavillion of Knowledge – Ciência Viva is located in Parque das Nações, in the former grounds of Expo 98, in Lisbon. Its silhouette is easily recognizable, because of the huge outside volume of its main nave. Entrance is through ground floor.

There are bus, train and subway stops only 5/10mins away from the Conference venue. Lisbon Airport is only 10 minutes by taxi (6/8€) or car journey and 15minutes by bus or metro (1.45€).

Climate & Clothing

Lisbon enjoys a Mediterranean climate. The typical summer’s season lasts about five months, from May to September with an average temperature of 25°C. Light clothing is suitable for daytime, and a light jacket may be useful for the night.
